OUR STORY

Disability Advocacy and Empowerment Organization (DAEO) was established in 2019 and officially registered in March 2020 with the view to address some of the deficiencies or inadequacies within the current structures in Botswana which endeavor to advocate for and empower PLWDs

DAEO aims to advocate for the welfare of PLWDs through advocating for inclusive policies in line with the relevant 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). DAEO aims to improve the living conditions of PLWDs and to represent the estimated over 100 000 PLWDs in Botswana. This is the nation’s most frequently overlooked minority group
